Kimimaro, also known as Kaguya Kimimaro, is a character featured in the Naruto Shippuden anime series.
He was the sole survivor of the Kaguya clan, known for their brutal and bloodthirsty nature and unique kekkei genkai, Shikotsumyaku. This ability granted Kimimaro the power to manipulate his own bone structure, using his bones as weapons and armor.
Due to his clan's warmongering tendencies, and his eventual clan eradication, Kimimaro was taken in and became intensely loyal to Orochimaru. He was seen as Orochimaru's ideal next vessel until he became ill.
Kimimaro first appears during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc (around episode 122 of Naruto Shippuden). Despite his debilitated condition, he relentlessly battled Naruto and Rock Lee to prevent Sasuke's defection to Orochimaru. He was ultimately defeated by Gaara but died of his illness shortly after the battle.
